Please remember that when you use a link to go from the platform to another website, our Terms & Conditions are no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other website, including those that have a link on our platform, is subject to that website’s own rules and policies. Such third parties may use their own cookies or other methods to collect information about you.
CARA uses \"Cookies\" to identify the areas of our website that you have visited. A Cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser. We use Cookies to enhance the performance and functionality of our app but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality like videos may become unavailable or you would be required to enter your login details every time you visit the app as we would not be able to remember that you had logged in previously. You acknowledge and agree that if CARA disables access to your account, you may be prevented from accessing the Programme, your account details or any files or other materials which are contained in your account.

\nCARA reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the app or any service to which it connects, with or without notice and without liability to you.
CARA may from time to time provide enhancements or improvements to the features/ functionality of the app, which may include patches, bug fixes, updates, upgrades and other modifications (\"Updates\").
\nUpdates may modify or delete certain features and/or functionalities of the app. You agree that CARA has no obligation to (i) provide any Updates, or (ii) continue to provide or enable any particular features and/or functionalities of the app to you.
\nYou further agree that all Updates will be (i) deemed to constitute an integral part of the app, and (ii) subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
\nWe may display, include or make available third-party content (including data, information, applications and other products services) or provide links to third-party websites or services (\"Third- Party Services\").
\nYou acknowledge and agree that CARA shall not be responsible for any Third-Party Services, including their accuracy, completeness, timeliness, validity, copyright compliance, legality, decency, quality or any other aspect thereof.
\nThird-Party Services and links thereto are provided solely as a convenience to you and you access and use them entirely at your own risk and subject to such third parties' terms and conditions.
\nThis Agreement shall remain in effect until terminated by you or CARA. CARA may, in its sole discretion, at any time and for any or no reason, suspend or terminate this Agreement with or without prior notice.
\nThis Agreement will terminate immediately, without prior notice from CARA, in the event that you fail to comply with any provision of this Agreement. You may also terminate this Agreement by deleting the app and all copies thereof from your computer.
\nUpon termination of this Agreement, you shall cease all use of the app and delete all copies of the app from your computer.
\nTermination of this Agreement will not limit any of CARA's rights or remedies at law or in equity in case of breach by you (during the term of this Agreement) of any of your obligations under the present Agreement.
\nIf you are a copyright owner or such owner’s agent and believe any material on our app constitutes an infringement on your copyright, please contact us setting forth the following information: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on his behalf; (b) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing; (c) your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and an email; (d) a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owners; and (e) the a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
\nYou agree to indemnify and hold CARA, Dementia Singapore and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners and licensors (if any) harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, due to or arising out of your: (a) use of the app, website and listed services; (b) violation of this Agreement or any law or regulation; or (c) violation of any right of a third party.
\nThe app is provided to you \"AS IS\" and \"AS AVAILABLE\" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, CARA, on its own behalf and on behalf of its affiliates and its and their respective licensors and service providers, expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, with respect to the app, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and warranties that may arise out of course of dealing, course of performance, usage or trade practice. Without limitation to the foregoing, CARA provides no warranty or undertaking, and makes no representation of any kind that the app will meet your requirements, achieve any intended results, be compatible or work with any other software, , systems or services, operate without interruption, meet any performance or reliability standards or be error free or that any errors or defects can or will be corrected.
\nWithout limiting the foregoing, neither CARA nor any of CARA's provider makes any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied: (i) as to the operation or availability of the app, or the information, content, and materials or products included thereon; (ii) that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free; (iii) as to the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information or content provided through the app; or (iv) that the app, its servers, the content, or e-mails sent from or on behalf of CARA are free of viruses, scripts, trojan horses, worms, malware, timebombs or other harmful components.
\nSome jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of or limitations on implied warranties or the limitations on the applicable statutory rights of a consumer, so some or all of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you.
\nNotwithstanding any damages that you might incur, the entire liability of CARA and any of its suppliers under any provision of this Agreement and your exclusive remedy for all of the foregoing shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the app.
\nTo the maxiSome states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.mum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall CARA or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, for loss of data or other information, for business interruption, for personal injury, for loss of privacy arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the app, third-party software and/or third-party hardware used with the app, or otherwise in connection with any provision of this Agreement), even if CARA or any supplier has been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if the remedy fails of its essential purpose.
\nSome states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
\nIf any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
\nThis Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Dementia Singapore on the CARA Programme, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Dementia Singapore concerning the Programme. If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of this Agreement shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and Dementia Singapore’s failure to assert any right or provision under this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. YOU AND DEMENTIA SINGAPORE AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES MUST COMMENCE WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES. OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.
\nExcept as provided herein, the failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under this Agreement shall not affect a party's ability to exercise such right or require such performance at any time thereafter nor shall be the waiver of a breach constitute waiver of any subsequent breach.
\nNo failure to exercise, and no delay in exercising, on the part of either party, any right or any power under this Agreement shall operate as a waiver of that right or power. Nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right or power under this Agreement preclude further exercise of that or any other right granted herein. In the event of a conflict between this Agreement and any applicable purchase or other terms, the terms of this Agreement shall govern.
\nCARA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace this Agreement at any time. If a revision is material we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
\nBy continuing to access or use our app after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use CARA.
\nThe Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and CARA regarding your use of the app and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous written or oral agreements between you and CARA.
\nYou may be subject to additional terms and conditions that apply when you use or purchase other CARA’s services, which CARA will provide to you at the time of such use or purchase.
\nWe may change our Programme and policies, and we may need to make changes to these Terms so that they accurately reflect our Programme and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Programme) before we make changes to these Terms and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. Then, if you continue to use the Programme, you will be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not want to agree to these or any updated Terms, you can delete your account.
\nThe app and its entire contents, features and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video and audio, and the design, selection and arrangement thereof), are owned by CARA, its licensors or other providers of such material and are protected by Singapore and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. The material may not be copied, modified, reproduced, downloaded or distributed in any way, in whole or in part, without the express prior written permission of CARA, unless and except as is expressly provided in these Terms & Conditions. Any unauthorized use of the material is prohibited.
\nThis section applies to any dispute EXCEPT IT DOESN’T INCLUDE A DISPUTE RELATING TO CLAIMS FOR INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF REGARDING THE ENFORCEMENT OR VALIDITY OF YOUR OR CARA’s\" INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS. The term “dispute” means any dispute, action, or other controversy between you and CARA concerning the Services or this agreement, whether in contract, warranty, tort, statute, regulation, ordinance, or any other legal or equitable basis. “Dispute” will be given the broadest possible meaning allowable under law.
\nIn the event of a dispute, you or CARA must give the other a Notice of Dispute, which is a written statement that sets forth the name, address, and contact information of the party giving it, the facts giving rise to the dispute, and the relief requested. You must send any Notice of Dispute via email to: dpo@dementia.org.sg. CARA will send any Notice of Dispute to you by mail to your address if we have it, or otherwise to your email address. You and CARA will attempt to resolve any dispute through informal negotiation within sixty (60) days from the date the Notice of Dispute is sent. After sixty (60) days, you or CARA may commence arbitration.
\nIf you and CARA don’t resolve any dispute by informal negotiation, any other effort to resolve the dispute will be conducted exclusively by binding arbitration as described in this section. You are giving up the right to litigate (or participate in as a party or class member) all disputes in court before a judge or jury. The dispute shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. Either party may seek any interim or preliminary injunctive relief from any court of competent jurisdiction, as necessary to protect the party’s rights or property pending the completion of arbitration. Any and all legal, accounting, and other costs, fees, and expenses incurred by the prevailing party shall be borne by the non-prevailing party.
\nIn the event that you submit or post any ideas, creative suggestions, designs, photographs, information, advertisements, data or proposals, including ideas for new or improved products, services, features, technologies or promotions, you expressly agree that such submissions will automatically be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and will become the sole property of CARA without any compensation or credit to you whatsoever. CARA and its affiliates shall have no obligations with respect to such submissions or posts and may use the ideas contained in such submissions or posts for any purposes in any medium in perpetuity, including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing, and marketing products and services using such ideas.
\nCARA may, from time to time, include contests, promotions, sweepstakes, or other activities (“Promotions”) that require you to submit material or information concerning yourself. Please note that all Promotions may be governed by separate rules that may contain certain eligibility requirements, such as restrictions as to age and geographic location. You are responsible to read all Promotions rules to determine whether or not you are eligible to participate. If you enter any Promotion, you agree to abide by and to comply with all Promotions Rules.

Dementia Singapore operates and controls CARA from its offices in Singapore. The Programme is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation.
\nAccordingly, those persons who choose to access CARA from other locations do so on their own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable. These Terms & Conditions (which include and incorporate the CARA Privacy Policy) contains the entire understanding, and supersedes all prior understandings, between you and CARA concerning its subject matter, and cannot be changed or modified by you. The section headings used in this Agreement are for convenience only and will not be given any legal import.
\nCARA is not responsible for any content, code or any other imprecision. CARA does not provide warranties or guarantees. In no event shall CARA be liable for any special, direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages or any damages whatsoever, whether in an action of contract, negligence or other tort, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Programme or the contents of the Programme. CARA reserves the right to make additions, deletions, or modifications to the contents on the Service at any time without prior notice.
\nThe CARA Programme and its contents are provided \"as is\" and \"as available\" without any warranty or representations of any kind, whether express or implied. CARA is a distributor and not a publisher of the content supplied by third parties; as such, CARA exercises no editorial control over such content and makes no warranty or representation as to the accuracy, reliability or currency of any information, content, service or merchandise provided through or accessible via the CARA Programme.
\nWithout limiting the foregoing, CARA specifically disclaims all warranties and representations in any content transmitted on or in connection with the CARA Programme or on sites that may appear as links on the Programme, or in the products provided as a part of, or otherwise in connection with, the CARA Programmee, including without limitation any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement of third party rights. No oral advice or written information given by CARA or any of its affiliates, employees, officers, directors, agents, or the like will create a warranty. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice. Without limiting the foregoing, CARA does not warrant that the Programme be uninterrupted, uncorrupted, timely, or error-free.

\n1.1 At Dementia Singapore Ltd (“Dementia Singapore”), we understand the importance of your personal data. Dementia Singapore’s employees, representatives and agents are committed to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of your personal data.
\n1.2 This Policy helps you understand how we deal with (such as collecting, using, disclosing and/or processing) your personal data on the CARA mobile application and/or website (“platform”). Please feel free to contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@dementia.org.sg if you have any queries.
\n1.3 Definitions and key terms
\nTo help explain things as clearly as possible in this Privacy Policy, every time any of these terms are referenced, are strictly defined as:
\n2.1 By using our platform, you hereby agree and expressly consent to the terms and conditions of this Policy, to us dealing with your personal data (such as collecting, using, disclosing and/or processing) in accordance with and as set out in this Policy.
\n\n2.2 We wish to highlight that this Policy may be updated from time to time where necessary and you hereby agree to and consent to the prevailing terms of the updated Policy always subject to your rights under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (No.26 of 2012) (“Act”). Any changes to this Policy will be published on www.cara.sg.
3.1 “Personal Data” is defined under the Act (“PDPA”) to mean data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which an organisation has or is likely to have access.
\n3.2 In this Policy, “Personal Data” refers to personal data provided by you and collected by Dementia Singapore. Examples could include names, identification numbers, email addresses, home addresses, telephone numbers, medical records, lifestyle preferences, personal interests, work-related information, photographs and video images.
\n4.1 We may collect, use, disclose and process your personal data for various purposes as listed below:
(a) Administering any form that you submit via the platform including but not limited to registration, application forms and contest entry forms. We will do so in a manner to help you complete the usage of our services and to render our services more efficiently. This includes contacting you, collecting your financial information to process payment for our services or to process application of grants/subsidies and also promoting and announcing contest winners.
(b) Providing our services to you when you request for and/or use our services and/or enter into an agreement. This includes conducting assessments (different modes of interaction), interacting with you (examples include when you request to be contacted either in response to your queries or to be placed on a mailing list, when we need to contact you where necessary and keeping notes to fulfill our services to you).
(c) Improving our services to you. This includes collecting and storing history of our interactions with you (examples include types of services and promotions offered to and/or used by you and our internal operations), generating statistics and research results for internal usage and your location history which will enable us to enhance your customer experience by sending you relevant information from time to time.
(d) Complying with any law, regulation or governmental requirement as may be applicable to us from time to time. This includes any record-keeping and statutory reporting requirements.
(e) Processing and administering any employment application and related documents provided such as resumes and CVs. This includes contacting you and evaluating your suitability for the appointment in question.
(f) When you submit your personal data for any other reason.
4.2 Any purpose not listed in this Policy will be notified to you at the time of collection and your consent will be sought no later than at the time of collection.

4.3 In the event that you provide personal data of one of your seniors (whether your relationship to the senior is next-of-kin, family member, caregiver, representative or legal guardian), you undertake and warrant that you have gotten their consent to disclose their personal data to us and that the personal data provided is true and accurate.
4.4 We may also disclose your personal data to our agents, affiliates, related corporations, third parties including but not limited to third-party service providers acting on our behalf who would process your personal data for the above purposes and they will be required to treat your personal data in accordance with this Policy. The aforesaid parties help us to make our business more efficient and effective. Where we disclose personal data to third parties, we will take reasonable steps to protect the security of your personal data. In the event that any of the aforesaid parties are located outside Singapore, we will comply with the requirements under the PDPA in doing so and we will ensure the same standard of personal data protection in the relevant jurisdiction as required under the Act.
4.5 We may disclose your personal data without your consent strictly only as provided under and in accordance with the Act.
5.1 All queries, requests and feedback on this Policy and/or regarding personal data can be directed to our Personal Data Protection Officer at: dpo@dementia.org.sg and 20 Bendemeer Rd, #01-02 BS Bendemeer Centre, Singapore 339914. This includes any request from you to withdraw your consent to the use of any of your personal data, correcting your personal data or accessing your personal data.
5.2 In the event that you seek to withdraw your consent, correct or access your personal data, please note that we will carry out a verification process to ascertain your identity. We may also require more information for clarification before we can process your request. Upon you contacting us, we will use our best efforts to get back to you within a reasonable period. In the event that we are unable to perform your request substantively, we will communicate with you on the timeline that you can expect.
5.3 In the event that your personal data was provided to us by a third party, please contact the third party directly who will deal with your queries, requests and feedback on our behalf.
5.4 In the event that you withdraw your consent for the collection, use, disclosure and processing of your personal data, this could result in certain legal consequences. Depending on the extent of your withdrawal of consent, we may not be in a position to continue our existing legal relationship with you and we expressly reserve all our rights in this regard.
6.1 We take reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy and completeness of your personal data. Should you provide us inaccurate and/or incomplete personal data or fail to update us of any change in your personal data, we are not responsible for relying on any of the aforesaid personal data.
\n6.2 We also retain records of your personal data only for a reasonable period of time for the above-stated purposes, legal or business purposes and in accordance with the Act. In the event that your personal data is no longer required, we will anonymise and/or destroy the personal data in our control as soon as possible.
\n6.3 We also use reasonable efforts to ensure the security of your personal data and have reasonable security processes/arrangements to protect your personal data. We regularly review our security practices to consider appropriate new technology and methods. However, please be aware that despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
\nWhen you visit our platform, we may assign your device one or more cookies. A cookie is a small text file that contains information that can later be read by us to facilitate your access to our platform, gather statistical data, and personalise your online experience.
\nBy accessing and using our platform, you agree that we can place and use cookies on your device.
\nWe currently use cookies on our platform for various purposes, including but not limited to improving your user experience on our platform, remembering your preferences, targeting advertising that might be of interest to you, helping us understand how our platform is performing, measuring the overall effectiveness of our online content, advertising campaigns, and the products and services we offer through our platform, monitoring traffic to our platform, detecting your web browser’s multimedia capabilities, tracking promotional advertisements that have been displayed to you and maintaining current login and purchase information on secured portions of the platform (the “Cookie Purposes”).
\nInformation that we collect from you through cookies may be passed to our third-party service providers, whether located in Singapore or elsewhere, for one or more of the Cookie Purposes, for managing and/or administering our platform, or for the purpose of data hosting/storage/backup.
\nOur platform may allow third parties to download cookies to your device. Third parties, such as our trusted social media (including Facebook), advertising, analytics and business partners, may use cookies and other technologies to collect information about your online activities while you are on our platform. This information may be used to measure the usage of our platform and personalise advertising content on our platform. We do not have access to or control over cookies or other features these third parties may use, and the information practices of these third parties are not covered by this policy. Please refer to the policies of those third parties to better understand their activities and practices.

If you choose not to allow us to place a cookie on your computer, you may be restricted from some services and some of the interactive features offered on our platform may be similarly restricted or rendered inoperable.
\n\n8.1 This Policy and your use of this platform and/or our services shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
9.1 Occasionally, the platform asks its users to complete market research surveys. Survey results are aggregated and shared with advertisers, sponsors and related corporations in a manner that does not disclose personal information.
These Terms and Conditions define the contractual relationship between Dementia Singapore Limited (“Dementia Singapore”) and each individual registered CARA member. All persons applying for CARA membership programme shall be deemed to have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions. Members are responsible for keeping themselves informed of the current Terms and Conditions of the CARA membership programme which are posted on CARA’s website. CARA membership card refers to physical and/or electronic versions. Continued participation in the CARA membership programme by a member will be regarded as acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.\n
\n1. The CARA membership programme and membership card is owned and administered by Dementia Singapore.
\n2. Application is open to any Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent resident who is either i) a person living with dementia, or ii) a caregiver of a person living with dementia. The CARA membership card is issued at the sole and absolute discretion of Dementia Singapore.
\n3. The CARA membership is strictly personal and only for use by the member. It cannot be transferred, sold or bartered. The member is responsible for ensuring that his/her CARA account is not used improperly. Misuse of CARA membership cards, CARA programme, their related benefits may result in termination or suspension of membership, or withdrawal of benefits. Dementia Singapore reserves the right to claim compensation for damage sustained in connection with the misuse.
\n4. CARA benefits may only be extended upon presentation of a valid CARA membership card. The CARA membership card has no cash value.
\n5. The use of the CARA membership card is deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions by Dementia Singapore and all participating organisations.
\n6. The CARA membership card may not be altered, tampered or modified in any manner.
\n7. Lost or stolen CARA membership cards must be immediately reported to Dementia Singapore.
\n8. The CARA membership card remains the property of Dementia Singapore and must be returned upon request. Misuse of the CARA membership card or its accompanying benefits may result in termination of the CARA membership card or withdrawal of benefits without refund or compensation.
\n9. Dementia SIngapore reserves the right to modify the structure, benefits and other features of the CARA membership card, including these terms at any time. Use of the CARA membership card by a cardholder will be deemed as acceptance of any amendment to the benefits, terms and conditions of the CARA membership card. Dementia Singapore will not be liable for loss or damage resulting there from.
\n10. Dementia Singapore does not negotiate or guarantee prices or terms made by participating partners to cardholders through the CARA membership card Benefits Scheme.
\n11. Dementia Singapore shall not be liable for any errors or omissions within these terms and conditions. Dementia Singapore reserves the right to final interpretation of these terms and conditions.
\n12. Dementia Singapore has no responsibility or obligation with respect to purchases or sales (including no responsibility or obligation for disputes between an individual cardholder and any participating partner).
\n13. Although Dementia Singapore will use reasonable efforts to notify members of material changes to the CARA membership programme, it is the responsibility of members to keep themselves up to date. Any use of the CARA membership programme by a member will be deemed as acceptance of any amendment.
\n14. Dementia Singapore reserves the right to audit the member’s account at any time for compliance with the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
\n \n1. A CARA account belongs to the specified member and cannot be transferred to any other individual(s). Membership, including the CARA membership card and other CARA benefits are not transferable.
\n2. All mobile numbers and email addresses provided to Dementia Singapore must be valid and personal to the member or applicant. In addition, the mobile number and email address provided by new applicants at the time of enrolment must not have been registered with Dementia Singapore previously.
\n3. It is the responsibility of members to keep their mailing address, mobile number, and email address up-to-date. Any communication sent to members will be regarded as delivered when posted to a mailing address on record. Dementia Singapore will not be responsible for any delayed, misdirected or lost mail. Any change in the Members' mailing address must be provided in writing, or updated online by accessing your account via the CARA app.
\n4. Any change in name, date of birth, last four characters of NRIC, or gender on the member's record will be accepted upon written notification to Dementia Singapore by the member. The member shall submit the relevant legal documents as proof of change. Other changes to personal data, such as a change in residential or email address, may be made online by accessing your account via the CARA app.
\n5. Multiple memberships are not permitted. Each member must maintain only one account. Similarly, enrolment of several persons in a single account (i.e., a joint account) is not allowed.
\n6. Membership enrolment fee is waived until further notice.
\n7. The member’s obligations are as follows (where the applicant/member is a minor, the parental/legal guardian will ensure that the CARA applicant/member fulfills these obligations):
\na. Provide Dementia Singapore with correct or complete information in connection with the application or membership and promptly inform Dementia Singapore if such information changes. An account with inaccurate and/or incomplete personal data shall be closed at the sole discretion of Dementia Singapore.
\nb. Quote the CARA membership number if requested, as a precondition of any activity which may result in the member’s claim to CARA member benefits.
\nc. Keep the member’s CARA membership number, PIN and password secure and confidential and not disclose them to any person other than, where applicable, the parental/legal guardian.
\n1. Dementia Singapore reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership in the CARA membership programme at any time with or without prior notice. Dementia Singapore is not liable to members for any loss of value or benefits that may arise as a result of any changes made to the programme. In particular, occurrence of the following event may cause suspension or termination: In the sole and exclusive opinion of Dementia Singapore, the member has acted dishonestly or in any manner that is unacceptable to Dementia Singapore in relation to his/her membership.
\n2. If the membership is suspended, member will not be able to use any CARA benefits and rewards.
\n3. A member may terminate the CARA membership at any time by giving written notice and returning the membership card to Dementia Singapore. Upon receipt of the notification, any outstanding benefits and privileges will be forfeited without compensation and cannot be transferred.
\n4. Membership will terminate immediately upon death of the member. CARA membership benefits will be automatically forfeited on the death of the member.
\n1. Members may create a confidential Personal Identification Number (PIN)/Password through the CARA app. The Password is needed for 'self-service' transactions relating to the member's secured information such as personal data, unique QR code identifier and member information.
\n2. Members shall keep their PIN/Password confidential at all times and undertake not to disclose the PIN/Password to any other person under any circumstances whatsoever.
\n3. Members must ensure that this PIN/Password is not disclosed to any unauthorised parties. Dementia Singapore cannot be held liable for the consequences of any unauthorised disclosure of the PIN/Password by members or unauthorised use of the PIN/Password. Members acknowledge that Dementia Singapore is under no obligation or duty to verify the authenticity of any person who performs transactions through the use of a valid PIN/Password.
\n1. Information regarding the processing of member’s personal data is set out in the CARA Privacy Policy accessible at https://cara.sg/Privacy-Policy

Dementia Singapore shall not be liable to any member or nominee for any loss of revenue, profit, business or any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expense of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the CARA membership programme , the provision or the refusal to provide any benefits and rewards and the use of rewards, whether such loss, damage or expense is caused by negligence or otherwise, and whether Dementia Singapore has any control over the circumstances giving rise to the claim or not.
\n2. For the avoidance of any doubt, Dementia Singapore shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the termination of or any change in the CARA Programme and related benefits.
\n3. Dementia Singapore will endeavour to ensure the availability of products and services provided by programme partners but will not be liable for any loss arising from the failure by programme partners to provide such products and/or services. Where a member uses the services provided by a programme partner, their terms and conditions will apply and Dementia Singapore will not be liable for any loss.
\n1. Dementia Singapore shall not be in breach of its obligation of confidentiality if disclosure of a member's confidential information is pursued in conjunction with an order of court, or is required by law or any governmental or regulatory authority. However, if the disclosure is not required with immediate effect, Dementia Singapore shall give the member prior notice of such disclosure.
\n2. Should CARA collaterals be available in other languages, the English language version shall be the only point of reference if any discrepancy arises.
\n3. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any unresolved dispute arising under, out of, or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including any questions regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Singapore in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre for the time being in force.
